Kit component

-      10×foil pouches each containing one cassette and one desiccant

-      10×pipettes

-      1×assay buffer

-      2×centrifugal tubes (15 mL)

Test procedure

-      Grind a representative sample to the particle size of fine instant coffee (50% passes through a 20 mesh screen). Weigh out a 1.0 g ground portion of the sample into a centrifugal tube and add 3.0 mL of assay buffer.

-      Cover the lid and shake sufficiently for 5 min. Do a centrifugation at 7000 rpm for 1 min. Use the clean supernatant in the assay.

-      Remove the cassette from foil pouch and place it horizontally on a flat surface.

-      Gradually drip 3 drops of sample extraction into the sample well “S”.

-      Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.

Interpretation of results

Positive: Only clear C band appears.

Negative: The presence of both C band and T band.

Invalid: No coloured band appears in C zone regardless of whether T band appears.
